Our studio collaborated with the Afrobanana Festival team to showcase Cyprus's modern intangible heritage at the “This is Athens City Festival” in Athens, Greece. Tasked with designing a versatile backdrop, we faced the challenge of creating a lightweight, reusable, and easy-to-assemble piece that could fit in a suitcase for air travel. The backdrop, inspired by the traditional Lefkaritika patterns, was designed to interact with lighting to create dynamic visual effects, enhancing the stage presence while reflecting the festival's artistic versatility. The integration of the festival's graphics with the Lefkaritika patterns resulted in a cohesive and visually engaging design.
